To The Ones Who Wait

The days feel long, the nights too still,

A silence none can fill.

The echoes of your sweetest voice,

A song that haunts me still.

I search the sky for glimpses bright,

Of where your soul may be,

In every star, I see your face,

A light still guiding me.

Though time may try to mend the heart,

Some wounds are never healed.

Yet in the love you left behind,

A comfort is revealed.

For though your arms no longer reach,

Your presence lingers near,

And in my heart, I carry you,

Through every silent tear.

Your spirit dances with the wind,

It whispers soft and true,

Until the day I find my way,

To where I'll be with you.

This poem reflects the enduring bond between parent and child, and the hope that love transcends even the deepest grief.
